How do you make your faith work? And you can find examples of faith in the Bible. But here lies the question! How do you apply faith in your daily life? This is important in our daily life because you need faith to succeed. Also, you need faith to please God. And most importantly, you need to get something from God.

So, let’s return to how you put this faith to work. Firstly, you need to know what faith is all about. Secondly, you need to know that faith and faithfulness are different. Finally, you need to know the different types of faith.

What Is Faith?

So, let’s get the definition from the Bible, from the Book of Hebrews 11:1. “Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality-faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].”

Let’s not misunderstand faith and faithfulness. Because the two are not the same at all.

What Is Faithfulness?

So, let’s also get the definition from Deuteronomy 32:4. “The Lord is a mighty defender, perfect and just in all His ways; your God is faithful and true; He does what is right and fair.”

Examples of faithful

1) A man and a woman who wedded at the altar had a vow never to leave each other or to cheat on each other. Also, to be one in all they do in life till death do them part. But, it is not working that way. Because one of them is cheating on the other, the one who is cheating on the other is no longer faithful to that marriage, vow, and the other partner.

2) You had an agreement with someone, and in the end, the person could not fulfil his agreement with you. It simply means that the person is not faithful to that agreement.

3) You go to church every day, keep all God’s commandments, and you do everything that is needed to do, and it simply means that you are faithful to God.

Faithfulness can take you to heaven. But you can’t use it to get something from God. Faith is what you use to get something from God. Also, remember that without faith, no one can please God. See Hebrews 11:6.

Faith In The Bible: Verses where you can find what faith is all about

Faith is trusting God for everything. See Hebrews 10:38, which says, “And, “but my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one that shrinks back.”

Faith believes in what Christ has done for us. See Romans 5:1 “Therefore, since we have been justified [that is, acquitted of sin, declared blameless before God] by faith, [let us grasp the fact that] we have peace with God (and the joy of reconciliation with Him) through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the anointed).”

By faith, we are made holy. Let’s see the Book of Acts 26:18 “To open their [spiritual] eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness and release from their sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified (set apart, made holy) by faith in Me.”

I know some will be asking now, how do I get faith? But the truth is that everyone has faith; God has given every one of us a measure of faith. Let’s see what the scripture says Romans 12:3 “For by the grace [of God] given to me I say to every one of you not to think more highly of himself [and of his importance and ability] than he ought to think; but to think to have sound judgment, as God has apportioned to each a degree of faith [and a purpose-designed for service].”

So, let me give an example; some people don’t believe in God, yet they have faith in whatever they do.

So, here are two types of faith in The Bible

WEAK FAITH

Weak faith considers situations around. So let’s see what the Bible says in Romans 14:1 “As for the one whose faith is weak, accept him (into your fellowship), but not for [the purpose of] quarrelling over his opinions.” This portion of the Bible tells those strong in faith not to argue with their opinions.

STRONG FAITH

Strong faith does not consider situations. Let’s see the Book of Romans 4:19 “Without becoming weak in faith he considered his own body, now as good as dead [for producing children] since he was about a hundred years old, and [he considered] the deadness of Sarah’s womb.”

Also, see Romans 15:1 “Now we who are strong [in our convictions and faith] ought to [patiently] put up with the weaknesses of those who are not strong, and not just please ourselves.” This portion is talking to those who are strong in faith to be patient with those who are weak.

There Are differences between the weak and strong faith

1. Those strong in faith put all their trust in God.

2. The ones who are strong in faith go through that path that weak people are afraid to go through.

3. Those weak in faith consider what people will say and how they will react to what they do.

So, let’s see what the Bible says in Romans 14:2 “One man’s faith permits him to eat everything, while the weak believer eats only vegetables (to avoid eating ritually unclean meat or something previously considered unclean).

So What?

It would be best if you put your faith to work. Learn to practice your faith with little things; before you know it, you will become strong. Also, the only way to do that is to read the scriptures day and night and meditate on them, and your faith will be robust. And read Romans 10:17 “So faith comes from hearing (what is told), and what is heard comes by the (preaching of the) message concerning Christ.”
