How do you feel when you let the people around you see and know the more excellent way to live a better life? Like Jesus, always let us know the more excellent way. It would be best if you did the same by letting your light shine bright.

You are going to need three things which are;
- The anointing.
- You will need talent.
- The character also will need.
You will Need The Anointing for your Light to Shine so brightly.
To achieve a cause destined by God, you will need the anointing to achieve this.
You know David’s story of defeating Goliath with nothing in the Bible. But with only a stone, no sword, no war garments, no helmet, only ANOINTING. He is only a shepherd who flocks his father’s sheep.
David told King Saul, let no man’s courage fail because of Goliath 1 Samuel 17:32. Why did he say it was because of the anointing? It is the anointing that makes things happen. Once you know you have it, you start changing situations around you. You will now let your light shine so bright in your world.
One significant thing David did that I love so much is that he chose his weapon of warfare, only five stones. You see, for you to let your light shine out in the world, I want you to know one thing: that it is a war. Because the world you are in will not let you shine until you strive and fight for it as David did.
That means you have to prepare for it. And be ever ready to confront the situations of life. You can also choose your weapon of warfare like David did in the book of 1 Samuel 17:40. which Says, Then he took his staff in his hand. And chose for himself five smooth stones out of the stream bed. And put them in his shepherd bag, which he had, that is, in his shepherd pouch. With his sling in his hand, he approached the Philistine.
You need the anointing of God, like David, in 1 Samuel 16:13. So you need God’s anointing upon your life to shine out in the world.

You will need talent for you to let your light shine so bright
In this second part, we mentioned the above. Your talent will play a significant role here. Why? Because to let your light shine so bright in the world, you will need to shine with something.
Like Moses in the Bible in Exodus 4:2-4, 2 God asked him in the burning bush, what did you have in your hand? And he said, A Staff. 3 Then He said, Throw it on the ground. So Moses threw it on the ground, and it became a [living] serpent, and Moses ran from it. 4 But the Lord said to Moses, Reach out your hand; grasp it by the tail. So he reached out his hand and caught it, and it became a staff in his hand.
Now you know your talent is needed to shine out in the world. What are you good at doing? Because these are the tools you need to let your light shine in your workplace, neighbourhood, school, etcetera. Whatever it is, develop it, and you will see the mighty power of God in your life, like Moses, who was good at shepherding the flock of his inlaw.
So, what I am saying is that whatever your talent may be. It is your greatest weapon to fight this battle of letting your light shine bright.
You Will Also Need Character for you to let your light Shine.
How do you shine in the world of today without your character? It is impossible because your character is the road map that people follow.
Another thing is that God himself watches your character, too, as He did to the Children Israelites in the wilderness. Why? Because He leads them through the place to see if they will change their character. Deuteronomy 8:2 says Remember how the Lord your God led you through the wilderness for these forty years—humbling you and testing you to prove your character and to find out if you would obey his commands.
And, also this bible verse will be helpful to you. Hebrew 13:5 says, Let your character be free from the love of money, being content with what you have. For He has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless]. Nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you!”
You see, now you need to put your CHARACTER in check if you want your light to shine so bright and be what God wants you to be.

What To Do When You Have Everything In Place
Mark 4:21-22 says, 21 He said to them, “Would anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket or a bed? Of course not! A lamp is set on a lampstand, where its light will shine. 22 For everything secret will be brought to the open, and every secret will bring to light.
In the Scripture that we read above, Jesus encourages us to be the light that shines so brightly. The purpose of light is to shine, and Jesus is the bright light amid the darkness.
As this saying goes, what matters most in life is not what we have, but what we have shared, is not what we have learned but what we have taught. What have you got? And how have you shared it with your neighbourhood, workplace, and world?
