So, how is mary a role model of faith and obedience?
Mary’s faith and obedience in Luke 1:26-38 enabled her to listen and respond to the invitation of God. Do you have the faith and obedience to listen and respond to God?
For Mary, there was nothing more significant than obeying the will of God and surrendering herself to the plan of God. And that is why in Luke 11:27-28. A woman, after listening to Jesus in the crowd, said. “Blessed is the womb that bore you and the breasts that suckled you”. And Jesus responded to this by saying. “More blessed are those who hear and keep the Word of God.”
These two utterances communicate Mary’s seriousness in her commitment. And she lived her life in obedience to the will and plan of God.
In your everyday life, how serious are you in your commitment to God? Also, do you live your life as God planned it for you? Or do you live it the way you want? Because when you follow God’s plan and will in your life, you will lack nothing. And I will be glad you did.
