To you, who is a Christian? Because I have always heard people say they are Christians. And maybe the reason they said so is that they go to church. Whereas their beliefs, doctrines, and practices vary far. Interesting to know the incredible true meaning of Christianity.
It is necessary to know that attending church everyday or Sunday does not make you a Christian. It is good to understand that a person is not automatically a Christian because they are born into a Christian home!
You need to know that, even though you may associate with its principle, it still does not make you a Christian. Before diving deeper into who is a Christian? Do you know what Christianity is?
What Is Christianity?
Talking about Christianity is a religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
Some say that a Christian has come to an understanding knowing the seriousness of being an enemy of God. And some also say that a Christian is someone who has converted.
Let us talk about conversion: Giving your life to Christ Jesus is not an expression. But it means converting from doing evil to doing the will of God.
I learned that most people think being religious is being a Christian. No! The true meaning of Christianity is CHRIST-LIKE. Which means following the footsteps of Christ Jesus. 1 John 2:6 “Whoever claims to live in HIM must live as Jesus did.”

► So, to be a Christian is to enter into a personal relationship with God. John 17:3 “Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.”
► You also need to know that becoming a Christian is personal and public. Romans 10:8-10 “8 But what does it say? “The word is near you. It is in your mouth and your heart. That is, the message about faith that we proclaim. 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and is justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”
► You must understand that “Believing” in Christ is more than opinion. You need the HOLY SPIRIT to live the Christian life. Romans 8:9 “You, no matter how are not in the realm of the Spirit if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ”.

► While being religious is being interested in religion or having that religious inclination. Matthew 15:8-9 “These people honour me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. 9 They worship me in vain; their teachings are only human rules.” In other words, Christianity without the HOLY SPIRIT is a mere religion, as simple as that.
