“If you know these things, you are blessed [happy and favoured by God] if you put them into practice [and faithfully do them].” (John 13:17)

It is not what we know that transforms us. But what we do every day. Moreover, habits that lead to addiction, and are formed one day at a time. For instance, when I gave birth to my third child, I ate bread almost every day thinking that when he is 6 months old I will stop, 6 months are gone and I am struggling to break the habit.

  1. Prayer: Form the habit of Prayer. However, whatever you do make sure that you will always find time to pray to your God. Also, acknowledge Him for all He has done for you and He will do more.
  2. Listen to the Word of God: Always form the habit of listening to the Word of God and reading the scripture, because it will open your spiritual eyes.
  3. Eucharist: The Eucharist is very important in our daily lives. Always find time to visit the Blessed Sacrament.
  4. Reconciliation: Whatever separates you from God, try so hard to restore your relationship with God and be at peace with him.
  5. Examination of Conscience: Form the habit of reviewing your past thoughts, words, actions, and omissions.
  6. Share your Spiritual gifts: Always share your Spiritual gifts with others, in that way you grow more and more.
  7. Spiritual Reading: Form the habit of reading books and articles about spirituality with the purpose of growing in holiness.

“Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.” (John 13:17)
