5 Ultimate Things That Always Makes You Afraid In Life

In this life, fear is the most crippling of all emotions. What is it that you are afraid of? The Word of God taught us to be courageous and not be afraid of anything. The Bible made us know life’s ultimate things that can make us afraid.

“If you go around being afraid, you’ll never enjoy life. You have only one chance, so you have got to have fun.”

Lindsey Vonn.

Here are the Five ultimate things that could make you afraid

1) Natural disasters
2) Evil people
3) Nations or Government
4) When we face persecution for what is right
5) Fear of Future

#1 Ultimate Things is Natural Disaster

The book of Psalms 46:1-3 says, 1 God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. 2 So we will not fear when earthquakes come, and the mountains crumble into the sea. 3 Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge!

We can see today in the world so many things going on. War is everywhere, and we can hear about earthquakes happening in different countries.

And some of these things might make you afraid, but I want you to remember that the Bible tells us in the book of Psalms 46:10. Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honoured by every nation. I will be honoured throughout the world. So God is telling you not to be afraid of all these things.

#2 ultimate thing Is Evil People

Hebrews 13:6 says, So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?”

Today, a lot of evil is running in the heart of so many people around us. And we can see them in our homes, places of work, schools, and environments.

When you see all these things, I want you to remember the word of God in the book of Psalms 91:10-11. 10 No evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. 11 For He will order his angels to protect you wherever you go. So the Bible tells you and me not to be afraid of them.

#3 Ultimate Thing is Nations Or Governments

Deuteronomy 7:21 says, “No, do not be afraid of those nations, for the Lord your God is among you, and He is a great and awesome God.”

Like there is war here and there, do not be afraid of anything, for God is with you.

#4 is When We Face Persecution For What Is Right

1 Peter 3:13-14 says, Who will want to harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats.

Now let’s give an instance with Shedrack, Meshach, and Abednego. Which we all know that they suffered for what is right. I know some of you will say they disobeyed King Nebuchadnezzar! No, because they were forced to worship another god. Which is not their God. Daniel 3:1-30

And the story of Daniel in the book of Daniel 6:1-28.

Matthew 10:28-31 says, 28 Don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell. 29 What is the price of two sparrows and one copper coin? But no sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. 30 And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. 31 So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.

So my friends, don’t be afraid when you face persecution for what is right. The power of men to harm you is not greater than how much God cares about you.

#5 is Fear Of The Future

Like the Bible says in Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and hope.

I know many of you are afraid of what the future will be like. But I want to tell you to be still and know that the Lord got your back.

But can we handle our fears? Yes, of course, we can by believing God’s promise. God gives us power, not fear. 2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, of love, of a sound mind.”

Conclusion

So my brothers and sisters in Christ, God can give us the peace that replaces our fears. John 14:27 says, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. So, do not trouble your heart, neither let it be afraid.

If we are God People, we have nothing to fear when trials come our way. So, whenever fear comes, let us remember God because He made us know in the Book of Joshua 1:9. That we should be strong and be of good courage; He is with us wherever we go.
